Sophia is head of Governance, Risk & Control for Cybersecurity & Technology Controls and Frmwide Technology Control Manage. She is responsible for ensuring a strong and consistent control environment for Global Technology, overseeing all firmwide technology policies, second and third lines of defense engagement, supervisory and regulatory oversight, and cybersecurity partnerships and advocacy, as well as regional leadership within the global Cybersecurity and Technology Controls organization. She is a member of the firm's Global Technology Operating Committee.
Sophia joined the firm in 2011, and was most recently the Asia Pacific Chief Information Officer (CIO). Prior to joining the firm, Sophia was the Asia Pacific head of Enterprise Infrastructure for Morgan Stanley where she started her career as an IT Trainee and has headed technology groups in New York, London and Hong Kong across a variety of functions, including infrastructure engineering and operations, and in IT Risk and Security Management. Sophia has a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Barnard College, Columbia University, and an MBA from Kellogg-HKUST.
