Sarita Chakravarthi is a Senior Vice President and Assistant Treasurer at Selective Insurance Company of America. In her role, Sarita has initiated and delivered tax planning and tax-based investments.
Sarita has informally mentored a start-up company in the Procurement and Contracts area including leading the beta testing of these products at Selective. Sarita is currently advising a vegan, gluten-free, and hypo-allergenic food start-up on capital and product testing.
She is active in legislative efforts through the American Property and Casualty Insurance Association, leading the tax committee for the association. She is also a member of the Tax Executive Institute executive leadership, advising on tax training for tax professionals.
Sarita is active on non-profit boards like the International Association of New Haven, and the University of New Haven women’s leadership, and looks for ways to give back to the community. She and her family engage in a charity to support children with cancer in India.
