Ruth Sun is a seasoned technology and business leader with 25 years of global experience leading P&Ls from startups to Fortune 50 companies. Currently, Ruth is on IBM’s Corporate Leadership Team as Global Managing Director, overseeing IBM's multibillion-dollar business relationship with Samsung Group. She has worked with thousands of global enterprises to increase corporate value, manage risks, and communicate effectively on technology innovation and business development.
Ruth has led all business operations functions, including strategy, corporate development, sales & marketing, engineering, and service delivery across multiple industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, government, and financial services.
She is the former CEO and Board Director of Tempest, a Healthcare SaaS business acquired by Monument, and has served on the boards of Radius8 and Sun Medical. She has advised early-stage investments through AlleyCorp and is a frequent speaker on business topics. Ruth is involved in charitable activities focused on education and creating a more equitable and sustainable future.
She has held leadership roles at Force Therapeutics, Welltok, Blackboard, and IBM Watson Health. Ruth builds high-performance teams and promotes productivity, sustainability, and governance while expanding channel ecosystems and scaling AI-powered automation. She is an experienced board member known for her business acumen and diverse experience and resides in the New York City Metro Area.
