Agile/Scrum Leader, Co-Lead for Bloomberg Pan Asian Community, Bloomberg L.P.
Romy Basil is a member of the Product, Data, and Engineering Coaching team at Bloomberg and has been the Co-Lead for Bloomberg’s Pan Asian Community (BPAC) since 2020. Romy is responsible for helping teams across the organization work more effectively by empowering them to self organize, be more transparent, and build and release products iteratively. She also leads Agile training initiatives, empower leaders to collaborate on product roadmaps, and work on larger planning initiatives than span an entire product line.
As a co-lead in BPAC, Romy has been a key driver for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives across multiple communities where she has directly organized over 25 employee engagement events, built an employee-driven organizing committee of over 30 members, mentored next generation BPAC members to achieve new career milestones and been on panels to share her career stories which have inspired many.
This is her third year leading the mentorship program which is an exclusive program to pair Asian leaders and allies with mentees. She is also currently supporting a committee building a tech focused diversity group.
