Managing Director and Head, Inclusion and Diversity, Cowen
Ripa Rashid is a Managing Director and Head of Inclusion and Diversity at Cowen, and works to develop and implement holistic strategies that involve both systemic and culture change. With over 15 years of DEI experience, Ms.Rashid is an internationally recognized subject matter expert. She has authored 3 books and over 2 dozen publications, and is a sought-after speaker and panelist. She and her work are regularly featured in the mainstream and international media. Previously, Ms. Rashid was Founder and Managing Director at Culture@Work, Working Mother Media/ Bonnier’s strategic advisory group. She served as Co-President at the Center for Talent Innovation in New York City. She started her career in management consulting, working globally with financial services and media clients. Ms. Rashid holds an AB cum laude in astronomy and astrophysics from Harvard University, an MA in anthropology from New York University and an MBA from INSEAD. She has lived and worked in over a dozen countries and currently lives with her Dutch husband and two sons.
