Michael Lau is the Americas Head of Enterprise Data Specialist Sales at Bloomberg L.P. He is responsible for leading high performing sales teams that focus on addressing client quant, trading and technology workflow needs.
Mike began his career at Bloomberg over 23 years ago with roles ranging from Analytics to Core Terminal Sales. In 2013, he moved to London where he led the EMEA Enterprise Real-Time technology team before returning to NY in 2016 as Head of Americas for the same group.
As a senior leader at Bloomberg today, Mike is a key sponsor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) initiatives where he champions and directly participates in mentorship programs to develop diverse talent across multiple DEI communities. Leading by example, he has steadily expanded the percentage of diverse hires within his own group and has given a voice to the challenges that Asian Americans face at the most senior levels of the organization in order to drive awareness and change from the top.
