George Sycip is a technology finance expert with over 20 years of experience, currently serving as the Business Analytics Team Lead for Bloomberg's Engineering COO department. An immigrant from Manila, Philippines, George holds a BE in Civil Engineering from The Cooper Union and an MBA from Columbia University.
During his 13-year tenure at Bloomberg, George has led global, cross-functional teams making critical technology and business decisions. He built a technology business analytics platform used by over 400 colleagues and now leads a team leveraging advanced data analytics to drive business growth and deliver actionable insights.
George founded Bloomberg's LGBTQ+ Community (BPROUD), which supports 3,500+ employees globally and advocates for key local issues. George also advocates for partnerships with Bloomberg’s
other D&I Communities in efforts to foster dialogue on intersectionality and his efforts have
helped Bloomberg increase the visibility of minority groups and elevate their voices into
leadership positions.
He also mentors emerging leaders, particularly focusing on increasing Asian American representation in senior roles. George's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion has made him a respected leader and role model in creating a more inclusive business landscape.
