Emily Fong Mitchell serves as General Manager, Personal Care for North America. In this role, Emily provides leadership for all aspects of Colgate North America’s Personal Care business to drive profitable growth. Her strong personal care, commercial and innovation experience across Asia, Latin America, and the U.S. makes Emily extremely well-suited for this leadership role.
In her prior role, Emily was the Marketing Director for C-P Philippines, where she led Colgate to record-breaking toothpaste, toothbrush and mouthwash shares and maintained Palmolive’s position as the #1 Personal Care Brand with its market-leading shampoo business. In addition, she champi- oned the subsidiary’s Revenue Growth Management (RGM) discipline, training the entire commer- cial leadership team and driving Average Selling Price (ASP) while trading up consumers to larger pack formats.
Emily is an active supporter of the People and Community pillars of Colgate’s Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategy. She continues to demonstrate allyship to the Company’s employee resource groups’s efforts to promote inclusive leadership and improve awareness around the topic. Most recently helped to lead the development of an “Ally’s Resource Guide” and supported the AAPI community through the #StopAsianHate campaign.
Prior to joining Colgate, Emily held marketing and sales positions in Textile, Food and Internet companies in China and Hong Kong. She holds a BA degree in East Asian studies from Harvard University, a master's certificate in international economics from Johns Hopkins SAIS/Nanjing University, and an MBA in marketing from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
