Chairman, Pacific Northwest, JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Phyllis Campbell is the Chairman, Pacific Northwest for JPMorgan Chase & Co. She is the firm’s senior executive in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Previously, Ms. Campbell served as the President/CEO of The Seattle Foundation, the largest community foundation in Washington. During her tenure, the Foundation doubled in charitable assets, to $600 million. Prior to that, she was the President/CEO of U.S. Bank of Washington for over six years, during which time the Bank doubled in size.
Ms. Campbell is the lead independent director for Alaska Air Group. She serves on the Nordstrom board of directors and on the Diversity Advisory Board (DAB) of Toyota. She serves on the nonprofit boards of PATH, the US-Japan Council, and the global advisory board of Women Corporate Directors (WCD). She is a member of the NACD Governance National Advisory Council.
She has received numerous awards, and most recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award by Seattle Business Magazine and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Vision from the Mountaintop Award. In 2014, she was recognized by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) as a “Top 100” Director, as chosen by a committee of her peers and The Ascend/Deloitte Inspirational Award.
Ms. Campbell holds an M.B.A. from the University of Washington’s Executive MBA Program, a B.A. in Business Administration from Washington State University, and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, as well as Stanford University’s Executive Management Program. She also holds honorary doctorates from Whitworth University and Gonzaga University.
