Chirag Patel is a venture capitalist, entrepreneur, and corporate strategist with a successful track record in developing growth strategies for global companies. He is currently the Chief Strategy Officer at Vertex Inc., leading corporate strategy, global growth, corporate development, strategic alliances, innovation, and startup investments.

Previously, Chirag was a Partner and Leader of EY Foundry, a corporate venturing unit driving growth for EY Tax. He was also a Managing Partner and co-founder of Highnote Foundry, a venture capital firm, and a venture partner at Trident Capital. Chirag has been CEO of successful B2B SaaS companies in HR-Tech, Health-Tech, and FinTech markets.

As an entrepreneur, Chirag founded several startups with successful exits, including Viant, an internet strategy consulting firm he helped take public. He has held leadership positions at IBM, Merrill Lynch Capital Markets, and Oracle Consulting.

Chirag holds a B.S. in computer science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University, teaching Corporate Venturing in the ETIM graduate program.
