Corporate Chief Risk Officer (Managing Director), JP Morgan Chase & Co.
Chetan Bhargiri is the Chief Risk Officer for Global Chief Investment Office, Treasury and Corporate for JPMorgan Chase. He is the Firmwide Risk Executive for Liquidity Risk, Structural Interest Rate Risk and Capital Risk, and also responsible for Corporate Strategic investments and Private Equity risks. Previously, he was the head of Market Risk in the Corporate and Investment Bank’s Fixed Income division.
Mr. Bhargiri has been with the firm for 22 years in various roles. He started his career in Finance as a junior analyst at Credit Suisse. He also spent two years building analytics and research tools for the Fixed Income division at Credit Suisse. He is a founding member and co-chair of the firm’s Asian Executive Forum (“AEF”) and has supported JPMorgan’s Asian Business Resource Group (AsPIRE).
Mr. Bhargiri earned an M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business and also holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology. He resides in New Jersey with his wife and two sons.
