Panel 1: Strategies to Increase Asian American Representation in C-Suite and Boardroom

Krishnan Rajagopalan

Jeannie Diefenderfer
Ida Liu

Michael Chen

The New Majority overall and Asian Americans in particular are still largely underrepresented in C-Suites and Boardrooms. The top three challenges impeding their rise to the top leadership positions remain the same: a lack of role models, professional growth and career development. Panelists representing some of the largest companies in their respective industries will compare notes on the challenges and will discuss their take on how to address structural, social and empowerment issues that still stand in the way.

Panel 2: New Majority: Building Allyship

Dr. Randal D. Pinkett

Michael Garner

Frankie Miranda

Sonal Shah

Similarities in the patterns of oppression are striking and universal. Together, as the New Majority, we stand strong against marginalization of communities of “others”. Solutions for social and economic issues that are needed at this moment in time are more achievable if New Majority communities stand united.

Project Rebuild

JOIN US TO MAKE A BIGGER IMPACT
We believe that corporate initiatives are a critical part of long-term, collective solutions needed to help small businesses in minority communities. Many small businesses are the bedrock of America’s economy, and are in dire need not just for funds but technical and non-financial support which is a win-win-win: large corporations not only can donate funds but also the time and skill of their workforce; employees can be directly involved in providing solutions; and small businesses can access high-value services and counsel that would normally be out of their reach.

1:30 - 2:30 PM

Panel 3: Cultivating and Supporting a New Generation of Asian American Leaders

Jyoti Chopra

Phillip Han

Jim Lee
Sarah Choi

Generational shifts, disruptive technological advances, focus on racial justice, shifting attitudes on everything from the purpose of corporations to the work-life balance are prompting us all to re-think what leadership of the post-pandemic future looks and feels like. What can we do to support the new generation of Asian American leaders and ensure that they are best positioned to respond to the redefined expectations of leadership. We will hear about experiences of Asian American leaders who made it to the top and their reflections about leadership and what is needed most to support new ways of collaborating, innovating and being effective leaders of the future.
