Asian American ERG Dialogue
Hosted by AABDC & Hennessy
Tuesday, 6/23, 6pm – 9pm
Flagship Microsoft Store, 677 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10022
On July 23rd, the Asian American Business Development Center is hosting an informal gathering and discussion among a range of corporate Asian American ERGs and ERG groups at Microsoft’s flagship store in Manhattan, NYC. The purpose of this event is to generate a discussion to find out what ERGs want and expect from their companies, what they are succeeding in and what they’re lacking, how to make ERGs more effective and beneficial for their members and in turn create more overall value for their companies.
Annual Asian American Business Roundtable Summits examining issues of D&I in corporate America highlighted one recurring theme – the value of ERGs to their companies and the fact that these ERGs’ potential have not been fully utilized.
The Fifth AABR Summit, scheduled for January 2020, will focus on corporate ERGs and how to collectively bring about effective change and new initiatives to these groups that represent the core of many large corporations in America. The discussions that take place at the July meeting will set the foundation for the key points of discussion and topics of the AABR Summit.
Participants at the ERG discussion will have an opportunity to make professional connections with like-minded professionals from the Asian American community, exchange ideas about succeeding in the workplace and represent their companies as brand ambassadors.
Discussion led by:
Jeannie H. Diefenderfer, former Verizon executive and Chair of the Nominating/Governance Committee of the Windstream Holdings Board of Directors
